Credits

Understand where credits are shown and what to do when they run low.

Credits

Credits are the usage balance for AI Generator actions inside WordPress. They let the plugin show whether your account can generate articles, images, pages, or batch drafts before you start working.

Where credits appear

You can see your credits in several places:

  • The AI Generator Status dashboard widget.
  • The editor sidebar Credits badge.
  • The Batch Generator screen.

Dashboard widget

The dashboard widget shows:

  • Whether the service is connected.
  • Your current remaining credits.
  • A low balance warning.
  • A refresh link for updating the displayed balance.

The dashboard balance is cached for a short time to keep WordPress admin fast.

Editor badge

The editor sidebar shows a compact credits badge while you work on articles, images, and pages.

After a successful generation, the badge updates with the latest known balance.

Low balance

When credits are low, the plugin shows a warning. If credits are not enough for a generation, the action will fail and you need to add more credits on wpthemoon.com.

After adding credits, refresh the dashboard widget or reload the editor.

When to check credits

Check your credits before starting a long article session, generating multiple image candidates, or running a batch with many keywords. This avoids stopping midway through a workflow.

Common mistakes

  • Starting a large batch without checking the available balance.
  • Leaving an old editor tab open after adding credits.
  • Forgetting that image generation may use more credits than a simple text generation.

FAQ

Why does the dashboard balance not update instantly?

The dashboard balance is cached briefly to keep the WordPress admin fast. Use the refresh link or reload the editor after adding credits.

What should I do if generation says I have insufficient credits?

Add credits on wpthemoon.com, refresh the credits display, then try the action again.

Do credits belong to my WordPress site?

Credits belong to the connected wpthemoon.com account, not to a single WordPress post or page.
